Therapy is expensive. It demands time, dollars, and emotional expenditure. We want you to invest in your emotional health and wellness, and we want your investment to be worth every minute, every dollar, and every ounce of emotional energy.

This is one of many reasons that we are dedicated to providing evidence-based therapies that have been repeatedly tested and shown to be effective in randomized clinical trials. Evidence-based therapies not only help people reduce their psychological symptoms (i.e., anxious and/or depressed mood, insomnia, etc.), but they also have the potential to help people reduce their symptoms even after therapy has ended (which means that people who choose evidence-based therapies may need fewer sessions in order to achieve positive outcomes, compared to therapies that are not evidence-based). It is important for people selecting a therapist to understand that not all therapists adhere to an evidence-based practice model. Not all therapists have received training in the delivery of evidence-based therapies. If you choose to work with a therapist at be., you will have access to a therapist who has been trained by national experts and who deeply values evidence-based practice.

At be., we believe that it’s important for prospective clients to understand that evidence-based therapy requires active engagement from the client and therapist and is only effective when the client is a full participant in his/her treatment. This means attending regular appointments, participating actively in therapy sessions, and practicing between sessions. If you are willing to be a full participant in the process, we aspire to help you learn and practice new ways of being that can assist you long after your therapy is complete.

Therapists at be. are out of network with insurance companies (more on this below). Keep in mind that evidence-based therapies often require fewer sessions, in order to achieve positive outcomes, compared to therapies that are not evidence-based. Therefore, if you choose to work with a be. therapist, you may invest more dollars up front, but fewer dollars over time.

If evidence-based therapy sounds right for you, here is some additional information to assist you in decision-making:

Initial appointment: $175 - $225 (varies by provider)

Individual therapy sessions: $150 - $225 (varies by provider)

Group therapy sessions: Investment varies

Payment is expected at each appointment. We accept cash, check, and most major credit cards (a small transaction fee is applied for credit transaction). Many of our clients have also been successful using their HSA/FSAs.

We are a private pay practice, which means that we do not bill insurance.  We will provide you with receipts that you may submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement.  In order to determine whether you are eligible for out-of-network reimbursement, we encourage you to contact your insurance company to ask the following questions:

1) Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health visits?

2) What is my deductible for these visits?

3) Once my deductible is met, what is the rate of reimbursement for a mental health visit?
