Warmth, empathy, and trust: these are some of the most important characteristics of an effective therapeutic relationship. Additionally, in my experience, a motivational approach that emphasizes non-judgment and collaboration and delivers practical, evidence-based strategies provides the most effective vehicle for sustainable change. If you are an adult struggling with anxiety, fears and phobias, OCD, PTSD or trauma-related symptoms, depression, substance misuse, or other compulsive behaviors, and you are ready to work together toward creating lasting change, please contact me today to get started. I look forward to meeting you and to helping you reclaim your life!
Treatment modalities utilized: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP/EXRP), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Prolonged Exposure (PE).

A health psychologist by training, I am passionate about working with adults who are struggling with co-occurring medical and mental health symptoms (e.g., insomnia, coping with medical diagnoses & surgery, chronic pain, perinatal distress, organ transplant, etc.) and I have experience treating a wide variety of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety/panic, phobias, post-traumatic stress, relationship difficulties, perinatal anxiety and depression, and more. While I primarily use cognitive-behavioral therapy approaches, we will work collaboratively to develop an individualized, evidence-based treatment plan that is tailored to your needs. My clients describe me as warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental. I aim to create a trusting, therapeutic space in which clients gain greater self-awareness and learn skills for lasting change.
In addition to therapy, I offer psychological evaluations including diagnostic clarification, personality assessment, and pre-surgical evaluation for patients seeking organ transplant and bariatric surgery.
I look forward to speaking with you to determine how I can help you meet your goals and live a more valued, satisfying life.

I believe that the strongest therapeutic experiences are characterized by a collaborative process between client and therapist. If we work together, I will assist you in identifying your present day concerns, including what is keeping you stuck in patterns that are no longer serving you; together, we will chart a course for working toward your goals and reducing the discrepancy between the life you are currently living and the one you want to live! In our work together, I am likely to introduce you to practical applications of mindfulness and guide you toward a more self-compassionate way of being.
Prior to practicing psychology, I worked for 12 years in the field of education. Working with young people and their families highlighted for me the benefits of learning to observe our minds in action and practicing self-compassion when faced with our human imperfections. Many of us are caught in a contemporary struggle of trying to teach our children and/or important people in our lives these vital skills, while attempting to learn and practice them for ourselves. I would be honored to help guide you as you strengthen your own practice, in order to show up in the way you wish for yourself and your loved ones.
I have earned Master’s Degrees in Psychology and Education. I have clinical training and experience working with pregnant and postpartum individuals and have completed certification trainings offered through Postpartum Support International. I am also actively engaged in a number of research projects investigating various correlates of maternal mental health. I am incredibly passionate about the care I provide and practice from a mindfulness and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)-based perspective.
Courtney will have openings for couples therapy, beginning January 2024.

I believe that above all else, the key to effective therapy is compassionate care. The therapeutic space should be a collaborative one, in which clients are empowered to share their stories, become confident in their ability to work toward facilitating change, and feel comfortable to vocalize their needs and the ways in which these needs may be met. As someone who prioritizes an intersectional and systemic lens, I aim to understand how my clients’ cultural backgrounds and identity factors have ongoing impacts on their presenting concerns, and I strive to create a very individualized treatment experience for everyone with whom I work. While the format of our sessions may vary depending on your treatment goals or needs for any particular day, you can always expect warmth, empathy, and a space where your voice will be heard and respected.
Jasmine is a registered Psychology Associate practicing under the supervision of Dr. Sara Nett.
