For pregnant and postpartum mothers:
While many women experience some mild mood changes during pregnancy or after the birth of a child, 15 to 20% of women experience more significant symptoms of anxiety and/or depression.
Further, nearly 1 in 10 women experience posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following childbirth. This is not your fault, and effective treatment can help you feel like yourself again. If you have been struggling with perinatal distress, don't try to wait it out. These conditions are very treatable with proper care. We are eager to partner with you and your loved ones to provide needed support during this transitional period. You deserve to feel like yourself again.
